Centro Hospital Psiquiátrico de Lisboa (CHPL)
The Centro Hospital
Psiquiátrico de Lisboa - Lisbon Hospital Psychiatric Center (CHPL), is the
larger psychiatric hospital in Portugal and resulted from the merger of two
psychiatric hospitals in Lisbon. Its history dates back to the early nineteenth
century. Nowadays its clinical activity involves a large number of areas of
secondary and tertiary prevention, even collaborating on primary prevention
programs.
Norwegian Institute of Public Health (NIPH)
The NIPH is a part of
the governmental system and acts as a national competence institution for
governmental authorities, the health service, the judiciary, prosecuting
authorities, politicians, the media and the general public on issues related to
mental and physical health, forensic science, prevention of communicable

Center for Studies and Opinions Pools (CESOP – UCP)

Hospital de Magalhães Lemos EPE (HMLEMOS)
The Hospital de
Magalhães Lemos was officially inaugurated in October 1962 and in January 1970
the first patients were hospitalized. Nowadays, it is the reference hospital in
the North of Portugal region in psychiatric care and mental health, and the
area of influence is Porto District Council.

Centro Hospitalar Ocidental de Lisboa (CHLO)
The CHLO was created
by the merger in 2005 of the Hospital de Egas Moniz, SA, of the Hospital de
Santa Cruz, SA, and the Hospital of St. Francis Xavier. Its mission is to
provide health care to all citizens within the responsibilities and
capabilities of hospitals that comprise, by implementing the definitions of
health policy at national and regional level, strategic plans and decisions
adopted superiorly. It intervenes in accordance with the areas of influence and
referral networks, meeting the program-contracts, in conjunction with the
provision of integrated network of health care institutions.
Administração Regional de Saúde de Lisboa e Vale do Tejo (ARSLVT)
ARSLVT IP is a
collective person of public law, indirect State administration integrated,
endowed with legal personality, administrative, financial and patrimonial
autonomy. Its mission is to assure the population of the respective geographic
area of intervention (Lisbon and Tagus Valley Region) to provide access to
quality health care, adapting the resources available to the health needs and
comply with and enforce the national health plan.
